kyoord was founded by Dr. Limor Goren to provide the world with premium high-phenolic olive oil that elevates the everyday. Packed with polyphenols, most notably oleocanthal and oleacein, these antioxidant and anti-inflammatory molecules are known for contributing to your overall health and wellbeing. We’ve made it our mission to educate the world on the numerous benefits of enjoying high-phenolic olive oil for living a full and extraordinary life.
Food as medicine
Olive oil has been used for millennia around the Mediterranean as part of the everyday diet and is known to support optimal health. At kyoord, we’ve created a new frontier in olive oil, bringing the incredibly potent and healing benefits of high-phenolic olive oil to market.
kyoord high-phenolic olive oil is food that can be used as medicine. In fact, the European Union acknowledged the health benefits of medicinal olive oil, and it now allows oils that contain a minimum level of beneficial polyphenols to be labeled with a health claim.
The name kyoord is the phonetic spelling for the word Cured. It is no coincidence that at the center of it is OO - for Olive Oil.
Not all olive oil is created equal
Factors such as the type of olive tree, time of harvest, and milling methods greatly influence the quality of the oil and its composition. Some specially made extra virgin olive oils contain high levels of beneficial molecules called polyphenols (or biophenols). These olive oils are the healthiest oils to use for cooking, baking, drizzling, and even sipping!
What is high-phenolic olive oil?
The term high-phenolic olive oil (also referred as Medicinal Grade olive oil) describes oils with the highest level of these healthy molecules. High-phenolic olive oils are exceptionally rich in the active ingredients that are believed by scientists and nutritionists to offer protection against many serious health conditions such as cancer, Alzheimer’s disease, heart disease, inflammation, diabetes, hypertension, and even some symptoms of autism.
Who is behind kyoord?
The founder of kyoord, Dr. Limor Goren is a cancer researcher and molecular biologist. Her research centers on one of the most important anti-inflammatory molecules found in medicinal olive oil called Oleocanthal. Dr. Goren discovered one of the mechanisms by which Oleocanthal is toxic to cancer and showed that olive oils that are rich in oleocanthal are an effective strategy to kill various types of cancer cells.
Dr. Goren started kyoord after she received numerous requests from friends and family for the medicinal olive oil she used in her research, and realized it was not easily accessible in the US. She searched the world for the best high-phenolic olive oil and ultimately came across a small family-owned farm and mill in Corfu Greece, which had just won an award for having the highest concentration of oleocanthal ever discovered at that time.
From here, kyoord was born and Dr. Goren’s mission to advocate for the health benefits of olive oil took hold. It is her goal to spread awareness about this holistic approach to health, and to make high-phenolic olive oil accessible to consumers.

My husband and I have used the Governor, Limited Edition for several years. We use it for medicinal purposes as well as a drizzle on salads and vegetables. Kyoord is like the Lionel Messi or the Led Zeppelin of olive oils…the Greatest Of All Time! I keep lots of other olive oils in my kitchen for cooking purposes, but I keep two bottles of Kyoord’s The Governor just for me to drink right out of the bottle every day! I love olive oil and had been buying Spanish olive oil from Costco until my sister-in-law bought me a bottle of Kyoord as a gift. I read the little pamphlet with the olive oil and decided to have a spoonful every morning to help with my cognitive function as I was about to take the LSAT for law school. I have been using topical steroids to treat eczema on my arms for years to no avail, and to my surprise, my eczema went away after a few weeks of having spoonfuls of olive oil every morning. I haven't used topical steroids in over a year, and I credit Kyoord for clearing up my skin. I love the taste. It is delightful to sip in the morning. I can't say enough good things about this olive oil.
This is a wonderful olive oil. It is full of flavor, and has just the right amount of pungency (pepper essence). I highly recommend it!

I have never had olive oil like this before. It tastes so good that I have bought three bottles, two after the first to ensure that I don't run out of it.

This olive oil is sensational. The flavor is just fabulous - very peppery and a little bitter. I consume it every day. I’ve had other high polyphenol olive oils but this is one of the best. I seem to have more energy and feel better. I hope Kyoord is able to get more of this olive oil and make it a regular offering.
Please know this is the best of the best olive oil we have found for our our salads and use for other foods, and we have searched far and wide and there is no other olive oil that compares.
